Lauren Meyrick

“Hello my name is Lauren Meyrick, and I was a former professional athlete for 8 years. My joy for being in the water started out when I was little, and my family and I would spend time in our backyard pool. It wasn’t until my freshman year of high school, my mom called the school to figure out when swim tryouts were and told me to give it a competitive try. My high school coach felt that I was a prodigy and encouraged my mom to put me onto a club team. That’s where I met coach Andrew Phillip, and he predicted times that I would hit in my swimming career and where I could take off. I swam for the Flying Fish swim club throughout my highschool years. I received a full scholarship to swim at Indian River State College, where I graduated with my A.A. in Accounting. Since Indian River was a junior college, it only allowed for two years of collegiate competition. So I finished my collegiate swimming career with another scholarship at Florida Atlantic University, where I graduated with my bachelors in Entrepreneur Management & Finance. I am excited to begin this new journey coaching again and helping you become more successful in your swimming abilities.”
